FaPost has two panels, and knowing which one you are in saves a lot of hunting. The admin panel is where you set things up. The console is where you work day to day. Most of the user guide is about the console; this group is about everything that sits above it.

The dashboard

Opening the panel lands you on a set of counters:
  • Assistants — how many exist, how many are active
  • Contacts — everyone the installation has ever talked to
  • Channels — how many are configured and how many are connected
  • Published flows — flows currently deployed and answering
  • Waiting sessions — conversations paused mid-flow, awaiting a reply
  • Staff users — people with access to this tenant
Below them, Flow Activity charts the last 14 days. You see a counter only if your role lets you open that kind of record — channels need the permission to manage channels, staff users the permission to manage users, and so on. A user whose role opens none of them sees an empty dashboard. Administrators count the whole installation; everyone else counts only the assistants assigned to them, so their channels, published flows, waiting sessions and activity chart cover those assistants alone. Contacts and staff users are always the installation’s totals. The figures refresh every minute while the page is open. After an hour they stop, and a Refresh button brings them up to date and starts the hour again. The counters are the fastest health check available. Waiting sessions climbing without published flows changing usually means a flow asks a question nobody is answering; channels configured but not connected means messages are arriving nowhere. Press ⌘K (macOS) or Ctrl K anywhere in the admin panel, or click Search in the header, to find assistants, users, roles and media files by name (users by email too). Type at least two characters; each group shows its first five matches, and choosing one opens it. You only find what your role lets you open — someone who sees only their assigned assistants finds only those.

What does not live here

Channels, flows, contacts, conversations, sessions and logs all belong to a particular assistant, so they are not in this panel at all. Open the assistant first — see The assistant console. The one exception is counting: the dashboard totals contacts and channels across every assistant you may open, because that is a question about the installation rather than about one of them.
